So far our Overwatch boosting team presented you it's personal view on all the heroes that are currently in the offense role.

Read the articles here:

Pharah & Genji

Tracer, Soldier 76, Reaper & McCree

Our Overwatch hero preview continues with one of the most essential roles - the TANKS.

Myboosting's Ovw boost team feels like a team composition without one of the characters that belong to that specific role is going to lack a key component, that in many cases is crucial for the victory.
Tanks, although slightly less preferred are probably the most important heroes in order to create a comfortable composition. Think of them as the glue that binds the whole team together. If you don't have someone to soak the enemy damage and protect the carries than the ones that need to deal the damage will be struggling to find good spots to use their champions to it's fullest, also they will be shut down before even doing something benefitial most of the time.

A perfect team composition in our point of view consists of Two tanks.

Reinhardt Ability Overview Video

overwatch boosting

Difficulty - low-mid

Our Overwatch boost team best tank hero with 100% certainty goes to Reinhardt. He is simply too good to not play it. A tier one hero that is unique at what he does. He is probably the most oftenly seen character in the game and that is for a reason. You want to push - Reinhardt provides you that massive shield and protects his whole team making the advancing towards the objective 10 times easier than without him. You want to defend - He can singlehandedly crowdcontrol, kill and destroy the enemies that want to take your objective, while defending his teammates at the same time - not bad huh?

Strengths - Great for each team composition, makes moving towards an objective and defending it much easier, great crowdcontrol ultimate, not a lot of skill is required to play him, extremely tanky, capable to turn a bad situation on his own, massive AEO damage in melee, great ultimate, beast in close-mid range teamfights.

Weaknesses - not a lot of mobility, his charge can get him in really bad situations, kinda boring to play xD, no ranged weapon (besides his fire strike).

Rocket Hammer - Reinhardt’s Rocket Hammer is an exemplary melee weapon, able to deal punishing damage in a wide arc with every swing.

Barrier Field - Reinhardt projects a broad, forward-facing energy shield, which can absorb substantial damage before it is destroyed. Though Reinhardt can protect himself and his companions behind the shield, he cannot attack while sustaining it.

Charge - Reinhardt charges forth in a straight line, grabbing hold of enemies in his path. If he collides with a wall, foes he’s carrying suffer extreme damage.

Fire Strike - By whipping his Rocket Hammer forward, Reinhardt slings a flaming projectile which pierces and damages any enemies it touches.

Earthshatter (Ultimate ability) - Reinhardt forcefully slams his rocket hammer into the ground, knocking down and damaging all enemies in front of him.

How to play Reinhardt

This is one of the easiest champions to play in terms of being useful to the team. If you dont feel ready to take on some high-skill champion, but you still want to attribute for your wins this champion is simply the best.

Your main task in the game is - use your Shield and protect your team.

If you are attacking just stay in front of your team and advance slowly while your teammates are doing the damage from the back. Try to stay with the core players of your team and let the ones that can flank or stay way back do their own thing. You are the meatshield that grants your team the opportunity to get to a location. When you are playing an "escort the payload" map you can just stay on the car/truck or whatever you are escorting and shield the incoming damage. When you see that the enemies are trying to avoid your shield by relocation try to single out someone with your charge. Periodicly use your E for long range poke/damage, but dont use it when you are heavily underfire. The narrow patchs and smallgate ways are where Reinhardt really shines the most. If there is no other way for the enemies to attack you from a different direction just brute force your way towards your next objective.

If you are defending watch where the enemies are most likely going to be coming. Stand on that path and block the damage. If it's a narrow/small path you can easily charge in and rek them all. Your ultimate is simply devastating in small spaces or over objectives when contested. You do a massive AEO stun after which you and your team has a few seconds where you can finish off everyone.

Play around the objectives and the places where most people go through. The more people you are facing the better Reinhardt is. Advice your team to stand behind you, or at least the squishy ones. Reinhardt with a support behind him is pretty much unkillable. Dont do too many balls deep charges or you will end up in many 1 v 4/5 situations where even Dwayne Johneson (The Rock) wont be able to save your a**. You are tanky and strong but you still need to measure your cooldowns properly.

Counters to Reinhardt - No real counters - trickier to play against - Tracer, Widowmaker, Pharah, Genji, Symmetra.

Reinhardtis an easy to master hero, that will bring you many rewards. He is an essential part of almost every team composition. He is currently one of the most played heroes both in competitive and in normal games. Main task - protect - advance - destroy. Extremely good in teamfights. He is also one of the hardest champions to play against since he forces players to relocate number of times in order to deal some significat damage.

D.Va (Official page)

D.Va Ability Overview Video

overwatch boost

Difficulty - Medium

As one of the newer additions to the game D.Va really brought something unique to the game and it's diversity. She is considered by many an OP champion, and we certainly agree with that. Her skillset and her Mech really gather for an amazing experiense when playing her. She is a tanky hero but at the same time provides tons of damage and great offensive maneuvers.

Strengths - Tanky, good damage, good autoattacks damage from low-mid range, extremely good sustain, able to self distruct her 500 HP mech - deal damage and get it back for a full 500 HP recharge, good mobility, capable to block a lot of damage, good for rushing the enemy team, good for flanking, able to make solo plays.

Weaknesses - Weak without the Mech, not the most accurate autos making her less of a damage dealer from long range, gets slowed when auto attacking making her vulnarable to counterfire, takes a bunch of time to reload the Mech when it was destroyed from enemies.

Fusion Cannons - Va's mech is equipped with twin short-range rotating cannons. They lay down continuous, high-damage fire without needing to reload, but slow D.Va’s movement while they’re active.

Boosters - D.Va’s mech launches into the air, her momentum carrying her forward. She can turn and change directions or barrel through her enemies, knocking them back.

Defense Matrix - D.Va can activate this forward-facing targeting array to shoot incoming projectiles out of the air.

Self-Destruct (Ultimate ability)- D.Va ejects from her mech and sets its reactor to explode, dealing massive damage to nearby opponents.

Light Gun - While outside of her mech, D.Va can continue the fight with a mid-range automatic blaster.

Call Mech (Ultimate ability) - If her armored battle suit is destroyed, D.Va can call down a fresh mech and return to the fray.

How to play D.Va

D.Va is one of the most diverse heroes to play in Overwatch. Her skillset makes her equally good as a front line damage dealing offtank and a great backline protector. Her mobility allows her to make some flanking plays, but that is not really her number one most useful way to play.

For our Overwatch boosting team D.Va seems to fit best as a hero that goes into the battle first, finding good spot to distruct the enemies and deal her damage. Sneaking your way in is an option that is also OK, but if you want to use the full potential of your character you want to be soaking the front damage for your team. Using your E "Defense Matrix" is one of your best skills. Altough it has a relatively long cooldown it can easily be timed properly to block massive amounts of damage and litterary block high impact abilities like Pharah Ultimate, McCree ult and many other.

One of your best tools is your Mech. It has a 500 HP and is considered tanky. You can self destruct it using your boosters prior to that, making it fly a good distance and placing it in the middle of the enemy team. This will eigther secure you a kill or two or in the worse case make the opponents split to cover from the big bang that the destruction creates.

Your auto attacks, however require you to be closer to your opponents, short-mid range is optimal for D.Va, dont try to be a sniper, or a melee champion - you will get punished for that. Using your Boosters will allow you to take a position that is good for your hero. You can also sneak into places or get out of bad situations using them.

One of the most important things that you want to keep track of is the HP of your Mech. If it dies from enemy fire you will have to recharge it, which usually takes a lot of time. When you are getting low use your Self-destruction and this will allow you to use your Mech again in a short amount of time, filling its HP back to full and making you a really hard to kill champion. To do that efficiently try to stay near safe places where you can cover while you want to start the sequence.

Counters to D.Va- Reaper, Roadhog, Junkrat, Zenyatta

D.Va is a champion that can be played both aggressively and offensively, making her a great fill for almost any team composition. Her ability to block and soak decent amounts of damage mixed with her own high damage give her the number 2 spot in the tank role. If you are a player that likes the passive-aggressive style this hero will be to your liking. It's one that can most certainly carry hard!
